Who am I

I am a Masters student with over 2 years of work experience who's Actively Looking for Full-Time Roles. Prior ro my graduate studies, I had the opportunity to work at Persistent on IBM's Power8 platform to deploy open-source software on IBM's PPC64LE architecture. I believe I have decent experience in Data Science, which I garnered during my internship at Sirpi where I helped Wind Engineers deploy windmills by building applications and tools. Prior to that, I interned at a FinTech start-up RhythmFlows where I lead a small backend team of 4 interns for a Bank Reconciliation project.

  1. Software Engineering Intern (Systems) @ CommScope

    May 2023 - August 2023

    • Built a Switch Config solution in Python for CommScope's OneCell architecture which utilized SPEC file parsing and RUCKUS vSmartZone APIs to automatically configure switch port connections
    • This tool slashed the configuration time from 3-3.75 hours down to a few minutes for an average onsite deployment and was integrated into the deployment workflow a week after my internship
    • Devised a Snapshot Backup solution in Kubernetes pods using TimeShift that creates automated restore points to mitigate potential failures during release updates, ensuring system reliability

  2. Software Engineer @ Persistent

    Nov 2020 - Jul 2022

    • Worked on a Currency MVP which acts as a management and analytics dashboard for open-source packages available on IBM's ppc64le architecture. Built it using FastAPIs, Uvicorn, Elasticsearch and ReactJS for UI
    • Built a tool called BulkSearch that validates the currency of OSS packages on IBM's POWER8 machines using Docker containers and is configured to install/build/test sets of packages which reduced team's workload by over 80%
    • Reviewed 40+ PRs and published build scripts for RHEL-based OS and Red Hat UBI containers for OSS packages to run smoothly on IBM's POWER8 platform

  3. Data Science Intern @ Sirpi

    Aug 2020 - Nov 2020

    • Responsible for the development of Wind Shear Application, built using R, Shiny Framework and AWS Stack, which uses machine learning techniques to predict windspeeds at target heights and is being used by Wind Engineers
    • Built an end-to-end Business Chatbot using R frameworks and Plumber APIs with Twilio endpoints along with a Shiny-based interactive admin dashboard UI

    • Mentored and lead a small team of 4 for an Analytics product developed in-house using R for bank reconciliation
    • Worked on an API-Hub which provides uniform and secured handling of API push/pull requests from multiple banking entities

    • Developed a centralized Virtual Lab Assistant that reduces the manual interventions of a computer lab assistant by automating the workflow
